Silcoset® Primer is a complex solvent solution of a silicone resin based primer specially developed for use with 1-Part and 2-Part Condensation cure room temperature vulcanising (RTV) silicone rubbers.
It is recommended for improved adhesion to most metals, glass, plastics and composites. Silcoset® Primer contains a pink dye that aids application of uniform thin coatings.
For all new applications, it is recommended that customers carry out small-scale tests in order to determine the suitability of the primer and the strength of bond produced. The primer can be used to achieve improved adhesion of 2-Part Condensation Cure RTV rubbers to other silicone elastomers.
